JAVA Developer (m/w/d)
Your challenge
You act independently, are communicative and quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas. You will become part of a team of highly motivated developers who jointly create innovative technologies for the tourism industry. The focus here is on extensive tools for booking and fulfilling flight tickets, as well as the further development of existing IT systems.
What you should bring with you
• A university degree in IT, a comparable completed training or qualification
• Very good programming skills and, if possible, several years of experience with Java and SQL databases
• If possible, already experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven, WebServices, BPA, REST, git, Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo, Linux
• Interest in technologies such as NoSQL, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
• Analytical thinking skills as well as good German and English skills
• Ability to work in a team and at the same time an independent and reliable way of working
We also develop front ends! If you are interested in web development, you should have experience with Angular, Typescript, Javascript, HTML and CSS.
Industry knowledge from tourism is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

Project and Account Management for Travel Business (m/w/d)
Your challenges and responsibilities
- You are an exclusive point of contact for Key Customers and therefore build and maintain strong business relations with Key Account Customers
- You analyse, plan and help implementing new customer requirements and projects
- You act as an interface between key customers, board and developers and thus working in close cooperation with developer and support team
- You will be Product Owner of the IBE (Internet Booking Engine) and Travice API (Travel Service Application Programming Interface) and NDC integrations
- You certify NDC integrations via Direct Connect and diverse airlines
- You integrate new B2B and B2C customers into the Travice API via XML API (Rest and Soap)
- You onboard new customers
- You are responsible for IATA ARM (Airline Retailing Maturity Index) Capability verification
- Provide guidance and support to internal staff & teams, using your extensive knowledge & experience in all aspects
Your skills and expertise
- Profound knowledge within tourism industry, flight booking (GDS, Direct Connect, Airlines, Midoffice Systems)
- IT and process affinity, technical understanding
- Project Management skills
- Have very good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Skilled in working with diverse stakeholders
- Collaborative, a team player, customer oriented and a quick learner
- Ability to work under pressure and work autonomously and in a team environment
- Managing multiple responsibilities
- Customer focused with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Successfully completed training as a tourism, travel or aviation clerk
- Knowledge of common reservation systems (GDS) and flights
- Very good knowledge of standard PC applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
